Hello! My name is Annabell Tanzil. I am an Elementary Education Student at the University of Victoria.
I reside in Victoria, British Columbia, where I respectfully acknowledge is the territories of the Lekwungen peoples on whose land I stand on.
My hobbies include reading books, hiking, running, and writing. I have done 10ks and am currently working on my endurance for a half – marathon. As well, I love exploring forests and hiking with my golden retriever, Piko. In addition, I consume books constantly – once I start a novel, I can’t put it down.
Ever since high school, when I first educated children at the Vancouver Aquarium on marine life and sustainability, I fell in love with teaching. It is truly my passion and I consider myself lucky to be able to teach and inspire the next generation. As a teacher candidate, I hope to implement new theories into my own classroom, such as a focus away from traditional classrooms, and an emphasis on outdoor education and flexible seating.
