Like all good things, this blog and book reviewing must come to an end. I have had so much fun over the past couple of weeks engaging in book reading.
Not only have I rekindled my love of books, but I have also grown a critical eye and have had the strength and wits to point out things I didn’t like in a novel, and know what they can improve on.
This helps me in two different ways:
1: I want to someday publish a novel of my own, so viewing other novels in a constructive and critical way can help me improve on my own writing style and storytelling.
2: This helps me with marking student’s writing pieces – I know what they can improve on and what they are good at, and I have become so much more confident in my own judgement skills.
